For anybody interested, here is an on-line self-paced Linux course through Edx (founded by MIT and Harvard). While I haven't taken it yet, it was recommended to me by several different people from Linux Chat rooms.
I'm a Unix/Linux Admin, and have been in the game for about 20 years. I run Ubuntu Linux at home on my laptop and my mini tower media server. My last two jobs have provided me with laptops, one a Mac, the other Windows 7. I hate Macs and Windows with a passion!
I generally use Debian at home. But many pcs are install Windows . So I prefer Debian over Windows
Michail, For now I'm using Mint 15 Cinnamon, not sure what the future holds.
I also use Mint. Which Mint do you use sky god?
Im new to nexus and currently using Mint.
I play around with Linux in VirtualBox, Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, and all. Most of my Unix experience is from the old days on DEC's Ultrix. Most of my past work experience was with MS-SQL, VB and Office. For my current work I use MySQL, Java, and LibreOffice. I always try to find open source, cross platform tools.
Hi everyone, may I hang around here as well? :) CentOS/RHEL/ArchLinux at work, FreeBSD at home.
Ubuntu for Android is scheduled for release Oct. 16, 2013.
Thanks Bio. I'm using several - but all of them are on the Red Hat side - Fedora, CentOS, RHEL etc. Quite a few in the LUGs I go to are Ubuntu users, and I do pick up things from them on how things work in that world.
