Okay guys we usually meet on Thursdays or Saturdays somewhere in Hamra or Bliss street and at times in Sassin. What days suite you most and what time?

BTW I am an AUB Masters student, what about you?

Very glad to meet all of you and looking forward to seeing you guys!

@Phantom9877 we are colleagues btw, I am in (close) contact with some very interesting people in AUB. I hope you'll become one of them! :)

I'm looking forward also for a meeting ! I also tons of interesting people in AUB , but most of them are quiet about their disbelief because of negative connotations of atheism in our country ! I maybe able to attend one meeting or two because I'm leaving to Qatar and then to the US soon ! I just graduated from Civil & Environmental Engineerig, what about you Moustapha , what r u studying at AUB  !

Cheers

@Phantom9877, I am looking forward for meeting both you and your interesting friends as well. I am familiar with people who are quiet about their disbelief as well. I am actually familiar with veiled Atheists!!!

I wish you the best of luck in your upcoming travels and congratulate you for graduating. I am doing my Masters in Ecosystems Management here in AUB and I have already finished my first year. Before coming here, I was in LAU where I received a BS in Biology and Minor in Chemistry.

@Ramez, what are you doing your Masters in? As I told Phantom9877, I am doing mine in Ecosystem's Management!

I am also free on both weekdays (excluding this weekend as I have a day in the field and then a workshop) and almost every afternoon except Tuesdays (probably) this semester.

Guys you are all really interesting and cant wait to hear your deconversion stories and discuss future plans and current projects. I am currently working on 2 main projects, a book and a website; can't wait to know what you guys are up to! :D

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:37pm 0 Comments

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…

i've got no problem with everyone saying "merry christmas" on christmas day.  however, they've turned it into an entire holiday season where it lasts a month or more.  in those situations it should be perfectly acceptable to say "happy holidays" or call it a…

My first funeral as an atheist

I posted the bulk of this on another thread, but wanted to add some context separately.

I finally confronted my faith and embraced the fact of my atheism late last August, 2012. Days after I revealed my "epiphany" to a few friends who knew me from another message board, my sister died from Lou Gehrig's Disease (which pissed her off because she hated catching a disease from someone she never f---ed).

THAT was my sister, understand? She was a beautiful, life-loving, potty-mouthed…
