I am so sad for all of these people who think Landover is a parody! These heathen have obviously never sat in a pew in Freehold on a Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday revival. Landover is not a group of comedians. Landover is a refuge for true Lord Lovers. I'm a true Lord Lover. I'm ready to kneel down and take what the Lord gives me, right in the face!

I love you Landover Baptist!

Ever since I was hunted down, hogtied and kept in an unknown basement in Freehold for 48 hours, I've been a big fan!

Abolutely priceless. Bo's law says it all and the email bag is frightening in its exposure of ignorance.

These fundies have to see its parody, right?

I admire parody, but the longest I've been able to maintain that style was a single web page (http://nadadotcom.com/BadAdvice.aspx, which is geek humor, not related to theism.) I truly admire the writers at LBC for having sufficient talent insanity to keep doing this page after page. I'm in awe at the way they are able to write such tight parody that it's often indistinguishable from fundie reality.

I'm not surprised that theists often fail to grasp that it's meant to be funny. Humor is just another part of their humanity the religious are required to sacrifice for their faith. Not once in the Bible does god laugh or Jesus smile, according to the Bible's no-doubt dour writers. Landover puts the lie to the idea that there's nothing funny about religious belief.

I've been visiting the Landover Baptist website on and off for well over a year now. I love that if you want to post a comment, the disclaimer states right there that it is the Landover Baptist Parody Website, but the Christians who write the (sometimes really vicious) hate mail apparently don't know what that means...

Landover Baptist is a parody? I was reading through some of the emails at my church's mailbag on their website and many of the Christians believe it's a real church.

Thanks for the link. John Dominic Crossan said, "The problem [with the Testamonium Flavianum] is that Josephus' account is too good to be true, too confessional to be impartial, too Christian to be Jewish."
