Oddly enough, God can't seem to be power enough to get rid of the devil...

Exactly!

Christians are so ignorant, they can't realize that this constant battle between their god and the devil is pure mithology.

Joe, one of the problems with Christians (including those in the island of Puerto Rico) is that they like to blame somebody else for the bad things that happen, and according to them most of the times it is Satan's fault. They say that God/Jesus and the Devil are in a constant battle... so if crime and drugs are their daily bread in Puerto Rico, that means that the Devil is winning the battle.

It is sad the things that are happening in our beautiful island, but it's laughable their way of thinking!

¿Hablas español? ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas viviendo fuera de Puerto Rico?

My name is Joe. I was born in Puerto Rico. Isn't it really odd, that in a country (PR) that "claims" to be so religious, that public crimes of all kinds (not to mention drugs) are happening more and more each day, and getting worst?

David, que buena oportunidad para la comunidad hispana en Washington DC. Te deso todo lo mejor a tí -que eres uno de los fundadores-y a todos los que están trabajando para que ese proyecto sea todo un éxito.

Para los que viven en el area de Washington DC:

Freethinkers Potluck picnic that will take place on September 24 at Pohic Bay Park.  As you know, the Hispanic community is more superstitious than the African-American or any other community (except for the Haitians I think) and as such, a group of Hispanic Freethinkers got together to form a non-profit educational organization to teach critical thinking skills to the younger Hispanics (since they will take care of us all when we get old). The purpose of this picnic is to meet other freethinkers in the area (Hispanic, American and others), but also to help this new group raise some funds. I’m one of the founders so I am eager to see it move forward. There is a donation of $20/person requested.  Anyway, please take a look at: http://www.meetup.com/Librepensadores/events/30020631/ to confirm your attendance.  We’ll have hamburgers, hotdogs, chorizo, blood sausage (if you fee adventurous), salad and soft drinks plus lots of other foods from those bringing stuff.  If you can’t attend, I hope you can tell others about the picnic and be able to make a donation at the link below

Pensamiento del día...

Thought of the day...

"If a man would follow 'today' the teachings of the Old Testament, he would be a criminal. If he would strictly follow the teachings of the New, he would be insane."
