Kansas Atheists

WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH KANSAS? NOTHING THAT A FEW WELL ORGANIZED AND CONNECTED ATHEISTS CAN'T FIX. FROM ENDING THE PRACTICE OF CHURCHES BEING POLLING PLACES, TO KEEPING IDIOTS FROM POLLUTING OUR SCIENCE STANDARDS..

I'm out in the Shawnee area. Looking for events and like minded citizens.

There should be some calendar of events on this page somewhere, I turned off all the email because it was annoying. Is there anything coming up?

Just thought I'd say hey. So, hey! I am still a relativey new atheist and new to this group and hopefully will find some ways to connect with other freethinkers here in the Kansas City area!

Hello. I'm new. I am from "witchytah". I am so glad to see other atheists from ks. I look forward to getting to know all of you. Most of my friends have been religious and they don't understand me.

Kansans unite! For those of you who live in the Kansas City/Topeka/Lawrence area check out the KC Freethinkers website for meet-ups and activities. We'd love to meet you: http://www.kcfreethinkers.org/ .
And while you're at it, check out your local, Kansas born and raised pod-cast: The Agnostic Salvation Hour. http://agnosticsalvation.podomatic.com/ or on iTunes.

TNT showed the movie "300" tonight. I am alone on seeing this obvious atheist plot in this film?

I'm clearly not awake yet, so I'll try this again: Hi! My family's moving to KS probably in Sept. - my husband's new job starts after Labor Day - and I was wondering if there are any atheist groups in either Topeka or Lawrence. If there are groups for atheist/skeptical parents that would be wonderful, but not vital.
