I've been thinking about throwing together an atheist/freethinker/secular/humanist/etc... group in or around the Ottawa/Lawrence area. Nothing formal. Just kind of get together and discuss issues, books, and concerns. Any suggestions or ideas?

lie, lie, lie just to push through his agenda. anybody who misrepresents the facts in order to further their ideology and not the will of the people should be called out on it. please send a heart-felt letter, call him with your ire or email whatever emotion this is bringing you. thank you!

i've now been told a group has already invited him and the post was his response to that invitation. i'm finding out more details and if we can be a part of it. will keep you posted.

If there is any meeting with Gov. Brownback the students at the KU Society of Open-Minded Atheists & Agnostics would definitely like to be involved. The student population is an important demographic in Kansas, and we'd love to represent that for freethinkers from Lawrence. - Conrad SOMA -Prez

Kansas needs a American Atheists rep. Does anybody know somebody that would make a good one? I would do it, but I don't think I'm the right person. Any ideas.

They just want to be able to say "A man" and "hallelujah" and say prayers before they eat and crap like that. they don't want anyone there who objects.
