Robot and Foundation got me hooked, but my favourite has always been 'The Currents of Space' because it was the first Asimov book I read, and even as a young teenager I understood that it had implications about personality, soul, etc.  I later was pleased to learn that Isaac was a Humanist.

BTW does anyone remember his 'Probe' series from the early 1990s?  I think it only lasted a few episodes but it seemed to me to have great potential to impart science and critical thinking.

I liked the first two robots books the best, although the third was very good also. Both the Foundation books and Robot series make commentaries on the world of "today".

My favorite Asimov has always been The Foundation, though his robot stories is what brought me into his world. The funny thing about Foundation is that so much of it seems be happening about us today. I really want to re-read it soon.

Obviously I love the Foundation series. But also the Robots series (Lije Baley and Daneel Olivaw). What I like most about Asimov is his ability to logically deduce solutions and make a compelling argument.

I want to check out the Black Widowers, my boyfriend says it is fantastic. I'll find the Science book too, thank you for sharing and welcome to the group!

Favourite factual - Asimov's Guide to Science. Great reference, equally great read - should be used in schools.
Favourite fiction - difficult choice. Foundation and Robot novels in sci-fi, Black Widowers stories also.

I've never read any of his fiction....pheeeew!

I've read "Asimov's treasury of humour", "Asimov laughs again" and finally the best by far "I.Asimov".

I simply just adore him!!!
