HUMANE ATHEISTS is a group for people who are interested in trying to live a humane life by understanding the issues surrounding animal welfare.
Members: 268
Latest Activity: on Tuesday
HUMANE ATHEISTS is for anyone interested in issues surrounding animal welfare and animal rights. You don't have to be a pet lover, a vegetarian, or an activist to join. You just have to like exploring new ideas and sharing information about the relationships between animals and people, and how we should or should not treat them.
I welcome posts on personal experiences, news and inspirational stories, action alerts, ethical questions, humane living options such as products and websites, and related topics.
I look forward to your contributions, and I hope that we can make HUMANE ATHEISTS one of the most active and vital groups on Atheist Nexus.

Cute Alert! This Boy and His Dog Are Inseparable
Awww! Photos of an adorable little boy and his equally adorable French Bulldog are taking the Internet by storm. The boy, Tasuku, and his dog, Muu, seem to be inseparable. The boy’s mother, Aya Sakai of Japan, has been posting images of the pair, earning herself a huge following on Facebook and Instagram. Click through to see the tiny twosome watching TV, sleeping, snacking and just being adorable.
If you go to Google.com/images and type in "Tasuku and his dog Muu," you'll find even more cute pics of the two of them.
Comment by Dominic Florio on January 25, 2013 at 9:37pm It was a nice story, but I think fewer pets woulod be getting these diseases (I'm not saying in this case)if they ate real food, instead of grains (which are waste products of cereal comp and they did not evolve to eat) and garbage off of the slaughter house floor. There is nothing regulating what is in pet food, as far as quality, and it is killing our pets. China did it in a quick way, but usually it happens over time. A highly heated nugget of garbage is not a good diet and kills over time. Yes, I have had animals in the past live to old ages on kibble, but that is what i call the George Burns effect. He lived to 100 smoking cigars, but no one with any sense would recommendsmoking for a long healthy life. http://rawfed.com/myths/
