In a scientific study some dogs were trained by food rewards to open a door using their paw while others were so trained to open it using their head. After the training each was made to observe its owners on all fours opening the door with either his hand or his head but in the opposite manner of the dog's training. They were next prompted to open the door. The result was that the dogs tended to imitate their owner's behavior in opening the door even against their training and in disregard of the food reward associated with opening it in the alternative fashion.

This must be true, because all my dogs do is lie around on the sofa. However, I can honestly say that they did not aquire their tendancy to lick their own balls from me. I'm not that limber.
THANK YOU. I love a well-trained dog and this could help train mine. Never thought of getting on all fours!
Happy it rang your bell.
