The Dark Worlds of H. P. Lovecraft (audio book), read by Wayne June

I’ve been listening to Lovecraft’s short stories in this audio book collection. I think there are six volumes in all. I cannot say that it is outstanding, though. Wayne June is very subdued when he reads, and of course, Lovecraft’s writing show equal constraint. It's almost like listening to a boring lecture, and I find I really have to apply myself so that I don't tune it out. However, June can really do good character voices when he wants to. I just wish he had chosen a character for the narrator!

Still, it’s nice to be able to listen while I do other things when I’m at work or home. I have so much to read, and it is difficult to find time to do it, especially when you can’t multitask with a book.

I’m attaching a sample of the audio for you to listen to.
