i would say, if you want to know Hitches mind read his vast amount of work with Vanity Fair and other stuff.

@DavidW -- IMO, god is Not Great is the best place to start. In fact, if you have Audible, I highly recommend the audio version. It's unabridged, and read by Mr. Hitchens himself. Lovely.

I loved your comment, David W!  As for reading Hitchens, the only book I've read is "God Is Not Great" which is his most important and famous work and certainly an entire work on atheism.  So I would recommend that you start there, or perhaps on his memoir, "Hitch-22".  Enjoy his words!

I'm ready to start reading some Hitchens. I guess I've always been intimidated, or felt unworthy to read him. Can't explain it.

I've always liked his passion and unforgiving attacks on religion as a subject.

For you Hitchens enthusiasts out there, which book would you recommend for my virgin eyes to read?
