I'm 66 and right in the middle of it.  When I graduated college in 1966 my main concern was how can I avoid the draft.  That's one thing we accomplished: the VN War ended in 1975, but the draft wound down in '72.  Young people don't realize what an intrusion conscription is and it blows my mind that kids are volunteering to go (in the armed forces.) War was bullshit then and it is now. 

 

"Hippie" is an attitude. 

 

Dig Dylan's Master of War.  How about a "New Rule" for Bill Maher, "Politicians who make (vote for) war have to lead the way."

I know what you mean Krystal. We move thru all the subcultures and pick up pieces parts we like and carry on, adding it to own world. does that make any since...without cannabis i mean.

I'm 45, not old enough to be an original hippie but the hippie culture entranced me as a child and I've always been considered one. Ok well a hippie/goth/survivalist/geek. Nice to have this group here :)
