Yes he always claimed to be be a theist. If he was anything like me I flip-flop from being good and disciplined to a bad girl but hedonistic making sure its fun. It is part of a create destroy process in my mind and pyche to shake things keep em fluid.Beyond the polarity I have a third much more inner detached place. I suspect God was when he strived in sublimation to raise himself and a veichel for inspiration. His hedonism was when he retrieved his own Self back from sublimation that didn't give a dam about God. Then a third inner recess where the fruits of this polarity sunk him deeper into meditation which as bhuddists masters do is atheist in nature. Master of meditation he was with an almost tangible magnatism and a true gift for healing even if it was only to relax the boy almost into a coma so his platelets had time to fuse across broken blood vessels.
