A customer at a restaurant that I was waiting tables at had this concept that I found fault with: that by drinking ice cold beverages at a meal where fats were eaten that the fat would congeal/harden then clog arteries.  Maybe it could stick more to the colon, but I can't see it passing in a hardened blob through the cell wall to the veins/arteries.  Any thoughts?  He swore that there was some research being done in Ireland in this.

I used to be a gymnast, when I stopped it was because I opened a gym w/ some other ppl & I still did conditioning w/ my team and other stuff on my own. Then I began a full time position directing preschool gymnastics, now I've been working a desk job for the last year.
I've never felt more out of shape. Granted I still look fit, I bet I couldn't do 5 pull ups. I'm going to start w/ a personal trainer this month. I hope they are insane tough. Boy do I need it.
I'm also watching the types of food I eat since I am way less active.

@ Dave...

I get all my supplements from www.trueprotein.com (use coupon code NPP443 for a 5% discount)

I know this seems like spamming but it's not...I just happen to be an atheist and lift weights seriously, and happen to have a discount code for that company.

They are based in San Diego, and the owner and his crew are top notch guys. They do more of a "wholesale" type project. You can order bulk amounts (5% off of anything 16 or more lbs, which is like 3 of the tubs you would buy at the store)

To answer your question...I don't like those stimulant "pump" products. The best way to get a good "pump" is to properly time some carbohydrates and water (prior to training), and focus on the muscle being trained (I'm assuming you are bodybuilding or just training for fun...most powerlifters don't care about a pump).

nice to be here, btw.
