HAPPY DAZE!

… the happiness of an atheist is neither the vacuous enjoyment of a fool, nor the short-lived pleasure of a rogue. It is rather the expression of a disposition that has ceased to torture itself with foolish fancies, or perplex itself with useless beliefs.
Chapman Cohen

The learn'd is happy nature to explore,
The fool is happy that he knows no more.

Why yes I have been happier since I realized I was an atheist. It was like having a blindfold removed. I no longer felt the open-minded confusion I used to feel when I tried to believe conflicting things that deep down I didn't really believe.

Hi!! I am happy and releived. When my father died back in Jan of 08, I felt a great relief knowing he just...died... He has no soul to go anywhere-all his fears and pain are just gone. When I die-I will just cease to be and that takes TONS of weight off me considering what I learned as a child.
Yeah, I am happy!!!!

Hi Ricco and all new comers. I'm just happy (and relieved) waking up. I suppose listening to the traffic noise on a six lane major road doesn't compare with any countryside.

Hey all who couldn't be happy with a life free the overhanging guilt of religion. I'm happy just waking up to look at my beautiful Scottish countryside :)

Michael welcome to the group. Eleven happy atheists is: HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA. It's not the quantity of the group it's quality and Black ensures there ain't none of that.

2009 will be the year of the happy atheists!

Thank you, Your Irreverence.

There must be more than eleven happy atheists.

At least we have enough for a soccer team.
