Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

My Mom and I went to see her lawyer, regarding a type of trust she had heard about.  He didn't think the amount of money she has is that much. LOL.  Different people have different ideas about what "a lot of money" is.  Anyway, he told her that if she wanted us to have it, then just slowly do stuff for us, which is what she's been doing anyway.  So my mom decided to do something awesome for my daughter.  Despite our paying 80% plus of our daughter's expenses for 3 years at a State University (not even the top university!), she found out she owes $20,000.  My daughter was shocked!  I was too!  She has depression, and knowing she has this debt that will follow her around for life did not help.  She has NO other debt.  We have taught our kids to not get into debt unless possibly a mortgage.  She went to school in good faith, not knowing she would have bouts of bad depression, and not be able to finish for now.  ANYWAY, lol, my Mom is going to pay-off HALF her debt this week!  $10,000. of her debt wiped-out just like that!  My daughter is so grateful, as am I.  It is my mom's pleasure.  She wants my daughter to not worry so much, and start her adult life out with less of a burden.  I know she still owes $10,000., but this will make the payments so much more manageable, plus paying less interest over the life of the loan!  My Mom is so happy to be able to do this for her!  I'm so glad my Grandpa left that money to my Mom, and that my Mom is such a generous and loving Grandma/Mom. Just feeling grateful about it, and thought I'd share with my friends. ~ Mindy

Buddhism is a stupid religion for stupid people. It is false like all religions. Why believe in supernatural nonsense because someone else says it is true ? Why follow the philosophy of some self-righteous peasant who died thousands of years ago ? It is only in the last 50 years that our species has had the scientific knowledge to debate and dismiss religion yet idiots are clinging to it more than ever. It causes ignorance, prejudice, poverty, over-population, discrimination and war. The supernatural does not exist. Rationalism must prevail for our species to survive.
