Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Patricia, I like your new avatar.  Do you have a large one I could save?

Sitting on the bridge of my ship with a watch partner that just oozes Jesus. I feel like he's eating my brain.

Thanks, Grinning!
And thank you for the reassurance, Felaine! I'm sorry your girl kitty died at 2. :(
This summer has sucked with having 3 animals close to us that had to be put down. A close friend's dog that our son dog- sat for, our dog, now my mom's cat, all within a 3- week span!

Mindy, I once adopted 2 kittens from the same litter....one died at about age 2 from Feline Leukemia (and so did all the other kittens from that litter...as did their feral mother), and I was terrified that Lyle (her brother) would develop it, too.  But he never did...and they ate and drank out of the same dishes, and usually slept curled up together, too.  Lyle lived to be 17.....

What Joan said! I too hope Lillian has an easy last few hours, and that your mom will be "ok" in the weeks and months ahead.

I've shared this before:

Pretty close Carl! My mom adopted Lucy and Lillian, but couldn't handle Lucy, so she gave her to my daughter. Lillian is partial to my daughter though!
I worry because Feline Leukemia is contagious, but Lucy hasn't been with Lillian for 10 months, and shows no signs!
Joan, Lillian just became more and more lethargic. My mom took her in today, and she only had less than 1/3 of the red blood cells she should have. They said she was pale! I wondered how you determine if a cat is pale! They can tell by their gums!

Sorry to learn of Lillian's Feline Leukemia. What were the symptoms? Hope she has an easy last few hours.

I remember now, Mindy.  Lillian was partial to your daughter and gave you the cold shoulder, but Mom ended up getting the cat.
