Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Are you battling cancer or a cancer survivor?

Happily, I am now a five year breast cancer survivor, and I am thankful to my friends, family, my health care team, and to science and medical discoveries. Dealing with cancer and treatment is never easy and it's damned scary, but it is easier when…Continue

Thanks Chris. :)  She's been spoiled rotten since the day she was born, so we know she's had the best life a dog could have.  We're doing our best to make every day count now, but I know one day very soon it won't be in her best interest to keep her here.  I don't want her to suffer.  She does have some pretty good times during the day.  It's a fine line to walk.  I don't want to be selfish or see her suffer. :*(

Poor Molly! I hope you can give her some good times while saying good-bye.

Yes, we knew she wasn't herself, but had no clue she had cancer until today.
I'm sorry about your Purr-Dee.

Yes, I remember your mentioning it a couple of times.

I realize my Purr-Dee is going downhill too, so I know it's coming, like it or not.

Thanks Patricia, it's hard, but I think I accepted it a few months ago. She hasn't been herself since before xmas.

The mobile vet just left, and our dog Molly has jaw cancer, and has lost 12 lbs.:(. She hasn't been herself for 6 months. Just going to keep her as comfortable as possible until she has more bad than good times. This is the first dog we have ever had, and it will be our last. She's a Black Lab, and Labs are such sweethearts. <3

I could ask them Joan, but it's been 33 years since they lived in that house.  It's considered a bad area of town now.  Still I could drive by and see if they still have the flowers in their backyard.  I will think about that!

The thing that didn't come through was just a picture of the "trinity."  The Father shows Carl Sagan, The Son shows Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and The Spirit of Science shows Bill Nye!  A much better trinity! :)
