Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

And Michael Bedard:

"Sitting Duck"

My fave, "Low Frog Along the Coast."

Now I have a print job I need to finish before I crash for the night.

DO look up Moskowitz and Bedard; one thing their gallery sites neglect to mention is that almost all of their works are visual puns... as in "Low Frog..."  I love that kind of stuff.

Lol at the backwards tail Carl! When my daughter was maybe 18 months old, we were in a hurry to go somewhere. My husband was in the shower, and I told him I was going to put her in there with him. He said "No! She's a girl!" I told him not to be ridiculous, she was just a baby. I put her in the shower and heard immediately "daddy, you gots a big tail!" My husband grabbed her and put her out of the shower immediately while yelling I TOLD YOU! I didn't think an 18 month old would even notice anything. LOL.
Felaine, sorry about all your troubles!!! That sucks! I really like your pictures!

Hi, guys. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but I've been having another case of the glooms; not only do I have a terminally ill kitteh, but we've had house repair problems...last week we had to have major surgery on the drain system, and once that mess was cleaned up, the refrigerator/freezer quit.  Everything is fixed now, but I'm out about halff my meager savings.  so I have been spending computer time looking at some of my favorite contemporary artists to cheer me up.  I'll be posting a few samples so you can see why I love them.

First, Stewart Moskowitz: Moskowitz - ENDANGERED SPECIES

Stewart Moskowitz - THE CORPORATION Penguins

Moskowitz - AQUARIUM - Vintage Art Print

I have prints of the last two; bought more than 20 years ago. The Penguin pyramid is titled "The Corporation"...appropriate, eh?

A box o' cats.  What more could you ask for?

Good evening, Everyone.

Melinda, you sound like one very happy camper.  Sounds like you're going to have a great summer.

I like the spa kitty Steph, and the box full of kitties is great Melinda.

Cute kitties Steph!

Ruth, love the gif!

My daughter is home for the summer, so I'm one happy Momma!  She went to my GP today and established herself as a patient, and my doctor helped her right away!  She gave her a new med to start.  My daughter got her hair done, a few new clothes with gift-certs she had, and goes to her new summer job tomorrow at a home-improvement store.  She seems more like her old-self.  We went out for dinner last night, and she came home and slept 12-hours!  Probably relief knowing someone else will be in charge for a while, and she can do what she needs to do without trying to be "grown-up" also.  Clean house, full cupboards, someone to do her bidding... LOL.  She and my Son are going to see a movie tonight.  I love that they get to do something together! :)~ Melinda
