Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

I'm going to pick up my Atheist friend at 10:30 a.m..  She just said she's bored, so we're going to wing-it!  Maybe go get coffee and a bagel, and then look around a second-hand shop!

I'm so excited my daughter will be home for the Summer starting Tuesday evening! :)

Happy weekend from me too my friends~ Melinda

Now that I am on a low cholesterol diet, I am opening more cans of tuna for myself.  Of course, I have to give each cat a spoonful before I can fix my own.  Once I mix in a little pickle relish, minced onion and celery, they turn up their noses at my lunch.

Can opener, food dishes, water bowl, flip top cans, or fridge,.....depending on the time of day, they come thudding......so much for delicate ''pussy-footing''......hahahaha!!!!! Of course they both wear wrist watches because when it's treat time, it's treat time....like now!!!!!

How Hairy Jerry knows the sound of his dishes is interesting Felaine.  I like the phrase tippy-toes also.

I enjoy hearing about how everyones cats act.

I don't understand why some cats react to the sound of any can opener when most people open cans of cat food by using the pull tabs.

Is it something in their DNA from the days before pull tabs?

(I use a manual opener that cuts where the weld is on the side of the top intead of cutting into the metal.  No sharp edges!  Hairy Jerry tippy-toes in when he hears me getting one of his dishes [saucers from a cheap old set from our vacation place in the '50s] out of the stack.)

Whenever I open a can of anything with the electric can opener, my cats think it is tuna and line up at my feet.

Steph, I like the cat surfboard escape!  Where did that come from?
