Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Melinda, that is crazy.  Driving is more work than walking?  Pushing a button is more work than climbing the stairs?

I've been two a couple of seder meals also Carl, and you are right, they are NOT meals, lol.  That's a good story. :)

I'm glad you're on an up-turn and feeling better Ruth.  I second Carl's post!  You are missed when you are not here.

I have to go with my husbands family to brunch at this place they take us to every year.  We don't go because it's a 'holiday', we go because it's a free, good buffet! lol.  Have a good day everyone. :)

Yes Ruth, I thought the nom bird would fall over also.  Almost certainly  photoshopped.  However, I wonder if it's possible that a real bird could get in that position because of their strong grip.  What do you think Steph?

Funny Melinda. "....not a good decision."

The secular hols are really good. I doubt employers will pay extra for working those days though or give people time off - yet.

Lots of fun cats, etc. Thanks all and good health to you.

Best wishes Ruth, pinched nerve pain is really horrible.

Daylight saving time starts today - means to me that I'll wake up at 5:30 the next month. But the weather is slowly - very slowly turning warmer. I can't delay planting seedlings in my roof garden, I'll risk another patch of night frost killing the new plants.  The beans, peas and some hollyhocks are already outside..

Ruth, glad to hear you're feeling better.  For me to say that you're fondly thought about here can only be a tremendous understatement.  I hope you're enjoying the warmer weather.  Your front garden sounds nice.  No flowering plants here in Chicago, yet.
