Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.
Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.
Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.
This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.
A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.
Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Comment by Lillie on March 10, 2013 at 2:27pm I hate DST. I have this internal clock that doesn't switch. I get up grumpy every morning until it changes back in November. And they keep extending the hours. Leave it one way or the other preferably the traditional way.
Comment by Joan Denoo on March 10, 2013 at 1:52pm sk8eycat, I signed the petition and fervently hope 1,000,000 sign on. Let the people decide.
Comment by Joan Denoo on March 10, 2013 at 1:50pm Steph, that cat looks like a menace to human and beast. What face to be greeted with each morning! I think I would go back to bed and pull the covers over my head. I would also invite that poor dog in to comfort me. The dog's words fit perfectly! Thanks for the laugh.
Comment by Joan Denoo on March 10, 2013 at 1:48pm Loren, as usual, you hit the nail where it should be hit in the poster "In god you trust".
Comment by Joan Denoo on March 10, 2013 at 1:46pm Loren, "Spinning Home" is as lovely as only Thunderf00t can make it. He inspires and informs at the same time. There are times I want to put a rag in his mouth, but not with work such as this.
Comment by Patricia on March 10, 2013 at 1:39pm I just signed the petition as well.
Comment by Patricia on March 10, 2013 at 1:36pm Saskatchewan & parts of northern BC don't change their times either, & probably other places I haven't heard about. My eldest son lives in Sask., & they do just fine with no changing. I hate this nonsense myself & have wished for years it would be abolished.
Comment by Joan Denoo on March 10, 2013 at 1:25pm Chris, I enjoy your posts so much, even as I understand you have a full schedule. So I look forward to whatever, whenever you post something. Oh, by the way, these are troubled times ... therefore we have to create islands of peace into each day.
Comment by Idaho Spud on March 10, 2013 at 12:55pm Felaine, I also hate "daylight savings time" and will sign.
