Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

I'm with you Ian on the chocolate!!!!

I like your way of thinking also Chris.  I don't have it in me to be too precise.  And you're right of course, we're going to die anyway.

Some of the Danish licorice is very salty - it's called "saltlakrids". And there's even a "salmiak" variety that, I believe, tastes like ammonia. Can't stand licorice at any price. Chocolate is the true food of the gods.

I don't know the Scandinavian licorice - is it as salty as the Dutch licorice? Most people hate it. Try some if you ever land at Schiphol.

Chris, I'm glad to hear to didn't give up licorice.  I sure love that Scandinavian licorice!

Don't be afraid of the veggieburgers, Ruth, you'll die anyway. When I look back on all my bad habits in the last 50 years the veggieburgers won't kill me. Up till now I kicked smoking, junk food, drinking more than 2 glasses of alcohol, carbo hydrates, almost kicked eating salty liquorice - but I still live in a rather traffic polluted street and I'm even starting a vegetable garden here four floors above the traffic. I refuse to be too precise; it makes life unpleasant.

Patricia, that's hilarious.

Ruth, hope your brain comes back tanned and rested.

Guess I prefer different music than you do, Napoleon. I found Iggy Pop new values lyrics too Dominator for my taste.

Tea and telly sounds cozy for a cold Denmark evening, Ian.

I used to enjoy veggie burgers, Chris. Then Is read that they were processed in a way to possibly have neurotoxic hexane residue. Now I'm afraid to eat them.

My brain is on holiday this evening. Bye all.
