Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

booklover, tazered cat made me laugh so much. Ice flowers are interesting; causing ozone depletion -have to learn more about that. Thanks for all your sharing, everyone. Nemo is snowing softly here, so far only a couple of inches accumulation. We had to cancel some plans till next week, when it's expected to get up to 54°. What a change. Did you all read that the expected El Nino didn't appear, and they're calling the long in between La Nada. Do I hear a faint echoing hollow laugh?

Ian, violence in the home is always harmful. One of my boys at the boys ranch had a tiny little mother who regularly beat her big, gnarly, track-driver husband. He appeared helpless to protect himself or his children.

Patricia, I didn't know about ice flowers so thank you. They are stunning.

Ice flowers are formed on new layers of sea ice, from saturated water vapors that come up from under the ice through cracks. In contact with the cold air, the vapors start to freeze and the salt on the surface of the ice begins to crystallize and serves as a nucleus for the frozen vaporized water. Thus, molecule by molecule the ice flowers begin to take shape. They have recently been recognized as the dominant source of sea salt aerosol in Antarctica and scientist suspect they may be the main cause of tropospheric ozone depletion during the polar sunrise. One of the most beautiful frozen wonders on Earth, ice flowers are still a mystery to many people.

Hope Eve Ensler can convince our GOP to join in One Million Rising.  They won't even vote for the Violence against Women Bill.

Thanks for the smiles and kitties, and on a serious note, to Joan for telling us about One Billion Rising.

About zombies -- apparently a few are vegan:
