Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Thanks Joan!  She is back safe & sound.  She said there were tons of police on the road.  I read that there would be this weekend, as Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest drinking days!  We are very close with my Mom.  She is single, and a great Mom.  I must talk or text with her at least 4 times a day.

Ian, you know we are always here for you!  My husband is watching the Super Bowl.  I hope there are some funny commercials!

Melinda, that is a perfect label for "I'll call him 'he-did-it'"
Glad you had such a good time while your daughter came home for the weekend and grandma was able to participate!

Thanks, everyone. It's good to know you're here and that you understand. I'll try to use the frustration as an energy source for a daily work-out.

That is true Felaine! How cute your cat friend must be. Within our city-limits we are only allowed to have 4 cats &/or dogs. We are at the limit, or I'd go to the shelter and get another one right away!

Melinda, your daughter ought to be fairly safe driving today...all the crazies will be glued to a TV somewhere watching the Stoopid Bowl.

The cat in the "he-did-it" photo looks a lot like my friend Duncan...such a handsome devil. I'll be staying with him next week, and off the net.

Ever get the feeling that you're surounded by highly-educated, overpaid idiots?  Yes.  Am I familiar with bosses making bad decisions?  Yes.

Patricia, thanks for the Separation and Superstitions posters.

Steam away Ian, I know that sort of struggle. Husband and I have been curators for an old demented aunt for some years now... and it's only recently that things have calmed down a bit. We got a lot of ugly insinuations from family who wouldn't lift a hand to help; then we had to rescue aunt from a ´friend´ who was after her money; we organised the help aunt needed; we moved her to a care home in this neighbourhood; sorted out her administration -  thinking all the while that we could have worked a lot better and quicker without the highly-educated overpaid idiots... not entirely true, there were some people who really did a neat job, so we were lucky there. But the whole process cost buckets full of frustration!

Carl and Ian, cool you guys have tee-shirts like those!  Glad you liked the he-did-it pic Carl.  I love those silly pics and the funny captions people come up with.

Ian, I'm sorry about all your troubles.  How frustrating!!!!  My Mom always asks "Can't anybody DO THEIR JOB?!!!"  It sure seems not.  My husband is "blue-collar", and he just LOVES (ha ha) when the bosses (HUGE company) tell him how to do his job.  They are SO far off of what needs to be done and how.  They sit in their offices with their degrees and make BAD decisions.  Meanwhile, my husband (and thousands of others) are the ones who actually DO the job, are who people think of when they think of that company, know the customers, have good relationships with them, know the best way to do things, etc.  It's SO FRUSTATING!

Wow, a solicitor who FORGOT half the paperwork?!!!  SO unacceptable!!!

{{{hugs}}} to you!~ Melinda

Hello fellow atheists!  I have joined this site in an attempt to find other rational individuals, such as myself, and to promote a current charity drive that I am trying to get going for the Oklahoma tornado victims.  I have managed to get many groups from around my area, including the Beyond Belief Foundation to back me on this endeavor.

I am located in Newnan, Ga and have my own atheist group entitled "Coweta County Atheists".  I am currently being backed by Spaulding Co.…

Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film video

Posted by Debra Stevenson on May 21, 2013 at 2:37pm 0 Comments

There is a video of the Pope's 'exorcism' caught on film.  The man isn't demon possessed, there are likely no 'real' demons.  He's just delusional and doesn't want to accept personal responsiblity for his own behavior for his own dysfunctional life.

Do you support 'traditional' marriage, vot now ad

There is an ad that reads ' Do you support 'traditional' marriage? Vote Now"!  .

No, I don't support 'traditional' marriage because there is no such thing. I support heterosexual and same-sex couples marry each other legally , yes.  'Traditional' marriage promoters largely do not believe that heterosexual women are co-equal to their husbands.  Their only purpose in 'traditional' marriage is to sexually satisfy their husbands if they can and raise children and do all…
