Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

sk8eycat, We learned so many things that are not true. I guess that is what growing up means ... question authority, think for yourself, enjoy today for this is all there is, and appreciate natural things.

By the way, in the movie, "Look'n at daddy"  there is scene that looked like our house at feeding time 48 years ago.

Joan, thank you.  Stuff like that just takes my breath away.

I wish I'd known some of this when I was a teen, struggling to make myself believe what I was told in church.  I just couldn't believe that my contemporaries actually had two-way conversations with a god, and I thought the fault was mine.

Unsettled weather including snozzle, frizzle, grapple, drizzle, snow, fozzle, and frain. Walks and roads covered with ice and I am snug in my blanket with a nice cup of coffee and home-grown and made Concord grape juice.

Thanks Steph and Atheist Cat.  That's one of my favorite sayings.

Good Monday morning to all!  Great lol cats Steph! :)  Both of my 'kids' start their classes today.  My son and I are sharing a car until we find one for him to buy, so I am a house-bound housewife!  I am sort of looking forward to some quiet time, and getting more cleaning done (ALWAYS cleaning with 3 cats and a Labrador Retriever in a small home!)  We will see how long I can stand it! lol.  My Mom would come get me and take me anywhere I want to go if really need to though.

My daughter and I have stopped eating wheat after reading "Wheat Belly."  I am hoping it stops my symptoms from my neuropathy of the digestive system.  Or at least makes me lose a few pounds!

I hope everyone has a good week!~ Melinda

Good morning all.

Today it's sleeting and hailing outside this morning.

Stay warm everyone.

Good night, sk8eycat.  Stay warm.  It's 15-degrees here in Chicago but I have my flannel sheets on the bed.  :)
