Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.
Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.
Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.
This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.
A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.
Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Comment by Idaho Spud on January 12, 2013 at 11:15am I remember guys trying to get me to hold the gunny-sack while they beat the bush to drive a snipe into the sack. I didn't fall for it.
Comment by The Flying Atheist on January 12, 2013 at 11:07am Getting caught up here.....Happy Anniversary, Melinda! Cheers to you and your guy. :)
LOVED the 'Invisible' animals, Felaine. I had to google 'snipe' to see what I was looking for. All these years I thought it was just a mythical animal. As boy scouts we were sent on snipe hunting missions in the dark on camping trips. Never caught one despite numerous supposed sightings. Yes, Dr Kellie, these events often ended with lots of laughing and screaming and kids running around like Keystone Cops in a dark field.
Comment by Idaho Spud on January 12, 2013 at 11:06am I couldn't find the snipe either, until I looked at Steph picture and looked for that.
I thought the deer was a turkey before I read the caption and looked for a deer.
Comment by Ruth Anthony-Gardner on January 12, 2013 at 10:46am Balloon furniture -ouch! Thanks for the snipe pic.
sk8eycat, I would love for you to re-post your invisible animals to my Wildlife and Bird group. We would enjoy that.
I can put the links here for you.

Comment by booklover on January 12, 2013 at 8:20am Love the invisible animals Felaine! dr. kellie, we used to go on snipe-hunts at Girl Scout camping events! :) Funny computer cat Steph. :)
We are taking our daughter back to her University today. :( I'm sad because I have LOVED having her home here for over a month. I know it's what's right for her. I'm just being selfish! We will have a fun day today though, setting her back up in her apartment, grocery shopping (and paying! lol) with her, and taking her out to eat before we go back home.
A good weekend to all!~ Melinda
Comment by dr kellie on January 12, 2013 at 7:03am I never knew snipe hunting was a prompt for finding a make out spot, but I do remember many fun nights taking girls on snipe hunts. It was always funny and usually ended in a herd of girls screaming and laughing and running through the woods.
