Spud, my experience as well. "I can't remember if I've already posted it here or somewhere else." The strings get so long it is hard to remember where I might have put something. Thankfully, we have a patient and forgiving group.

I just turned on the tv and saw that we are under a red flag wind advisory.  Never heard of such a thing, but damn, that wind is blowing.  My palm trees are singing a hurricane song, which is nice, but my old wood house is inhaling and exhaling.

 

Sk8eycat, your poor cats.  Mine are oblivious.  They don't even care about the end of the world.

dr. kellie: Sounds like you're having the cold, dry, gusty wind we had here (SoCal) on Tuesday. 

My 2 cats acted like it really was the end of the world even though it was warm enough in here.  I guess it was the sound of the wind whistling through the trees, and dead leaves skittering across the yard and against the house.  Poor kittehs couldn't find any place they thought was safe (both of them spent most of their lives in big catteries); they don't know what things like cardboard cartons, pillows, and deep closets are for.  They don't even know that beds are for hiding under.

BUT the wind stopped suddenly around 10PM, and didn't start up again.  It's still cold, but calm.

Hi Carl!  Yep the storm has started!  I'm exactly in the middle at the very top of Illinois about 20 minutes from the Wisconsin border.  My sister in Green Bay is REALLY getting snow. It just started snowing and blowing here.  It rained all night.  Now there will be ice under the snow.  Not good for driving!!!

Fine here Steph, how are YOU?!!!  I hope getting some well-deserved rest. :)

It's always nice to see happy people, no matter what their gender, inclination, ethnic background. A smile is the shortest distance between people.

Denmark is chilly and damp at the moment with snow or sleet/freezing rain on the way and I'm working this weekend. Bugger! I would have enjoyed a couple of days at home in the warm with cocao and a good book. Oh well, there'll be another chance for that before the winter's over.
