Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.
Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.
Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.
This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.
A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.
Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Comment by Joan Denoo on December 13, 2012 at 10:36am Ruth, I had a devil of a time finding the video, when I did it knocked my socks off. I am so impressed with all the talents you brought together to create it. Your intelligence and good judgment glowed through and I sent it to everyone on my sites, on Facebook, and to all my family and friends. This episode reveals the importance of an audience. By that one person sharing it, and apparently he has a big following, your video struck a nerve. It will continue to do so because your message is not only honest and clear about the impending problems and how serious they are, you gave a ladder of possibilities that will put people into thinking and acting. No hopelessness and helplessness here.
Ruth you are very influential - not useless. Congrats on your video.
Hope you feel better Chris.
Love the cute cat picture booklover. How are you doing today? It's very cold here, but nice and sunny.
Comment by booklover on December 13, 2012 at 10:08am Don't feel useless Ruth! I watched it but didn't feel up to comment bacause of the flu.
Comment by Joan Denoo on December 12, 2012 at 11:08pm Yeah Sk8eycat - they don't know when the world will end - they have all sorts of dates. Like that crazy pastor Harold Camping that said he knew the end of the world was coming, and so on and so forth.
Booklover I love that cat drinking milk picture.
Nice dog Future.
Hope everyone is doing good today.
Comment by sk8eycat on December 12, 2012 at 5:32pm I thought the Aztec "end of the world" was supposed to be Dec. 21st...the Solstice.
In the meantime I LOVE pictures of cats and horses! There does seem to be a lot of love between the two species.... Too bad you can't say the same for humans and different ethnic groups.
