Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Ian, glad you're going to England tomorrow (I want to go someday!) I hope your Mom is doing better.

Joan, I'm happy for you that you got to spend time with your family. Time really does fly.

I have an appt. with a new Dr. today. Just a reg. family doctor, so my specialists; gynocologist, gastroenterologist,etc. have someone to send their reports to each year. I chose a woman Dr. this time. It's weird when your doctors start being younger than you are. My mom is taking my kids and I out for lunch. :) Have a good day friends!~ Melinda

As regards the virus: for me the knowledge of religion and its texts acts as a vaccine. No matter how much believers try to window-dress their faith as nice and sweet, I can remember what cruel things the founders have commanded.

He is such a man. Time flies by and a decade passes without my even noticing it. It is so much fun for me to see the world through his eyes as he has grown, a fine young man in the making.

This follows a record year in 2011, when countries pumped 3.1 percent more global warming pollution into the atmosphere — making it very likely that the world will blow past the 2 degree C warming threshold that scientists and international negotiators agree is needed to avoid catastrophic consequences.

"Some even call global warming of 2 degrees C, which is on the lowest end of projections, a “prescription for disaster.”

I've been trying to use this image since then, but continue to fall into the "poo" pile! So, as a refresher, the image of infected poo gets reinstalled. I like the image as a "kick the habit stimulus".
