Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

I know, right Carl?! lol.  I don't have a 'bad' back usually!  I'm sorry you have back problems! It just seemed to go with the rest of my week~ ha ha.  Hugs back to you!  Here's to things going better this weekend!!! :)

Geeeez, Melinda!  What's going on over at your place?!  Is your house built on an old Indian burial ground?  Sounds like your home could use a good ole exorcism and purification.  I'll take out my crystals and try to send a positive aura your way.

I have back troubles myself, so I know what you're going through.  The slightest movement can cause sharp pains or sometimes even cause my lower back to completely go 'out'.  That's when I'm walking around like Egor (if I can walk) and moaning like Frankenstein.  Good to know you have family with you in your time of need.  Once again, hugs to you.....but not too tight.  I don't want to hurt your back.  Get well soon!

Love the video!  So, if bad things happen in 3's ;) I was making dinner and bent funny, got a bad pain across my lower-back on went down on all 4's.  So that should be it with bad things happening around here, right?! lol.  I'm in bed with a heating-pad, and my family is waiting on me.  That part isn't so bad. lol.

Here's something to perk everybody up.  Try, just try, to keep your feet and legs still.

Thanks Carl.  Sounds like you had a great time!!  Glad you got to have your whole family together. Maryland sounds lovely.  I've never been there.  Then you get to come back to our lovely weather! lol.  Yes, we've hit a bump in the road, but as long as everyone is safe, we'll get through it.  I just hope my daughter feels better mentally soon.  She and my son went out today, running errands and had lunch, so that was nice. :)

Ian, your book sounds good.  I love books set in England for some reason.

Good afternoon Folks.  Just checking in.  Been quite absent from here lately, but I've been able to catch up on all the posts.  I was out of town for one week.  Spent a wonderful week on the road and back for a family wedding in Maryland.  My parents, brother, two sisters, their wife/husbands and all of their kids (my seven nieces and nephews) all together again for the first time in eleven years.  We really had a lot of fun together.  Maryland was beautiful.  Warm:  in the 60's and gorgeous fall colors still around on the trees, unlike cold, grey Illinois.  Spent an afternoon touring Mount Vernon (hadn't been there since 1972 when I was 8 years old.)

Melinda, sounds like Life really took a turn for the worse for you and your family.  I'm terribly sorry to hear about all the misfortune your kids are having to endure.   Hugs to you all.

I've been wrapped up in a good book: "Fludd" by Hilary Mantel. Bleak moors, dark satanic mills and Catholicism in the north of England. Very funny.

Where did everyone go?
