Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Just been to the theatre with my daughter. Mozart played as rock, country, swing etc. Very thoughtful lyrics supplied by an American, Niell Cardinal Furio (don't know if that's his real name).

To the melody of Requiem in D Minor, 3. Confutatis:

Call me The Atheist!

Brave Disobey-theist!

A song taking the piss out of Moses' failiure to come up with 10 worthwhile commandments.

Lots of other good stuff too, plus 1,000 litres of water, great costumes, a lot of mud....All in all a fun evening.

Tony, wonderful picture of nature's beauty!  Like Steph, I wish I could be there right now.  It would be really cool if we could all be there together talking in-person!~Melinda

Tony, you remind me of Sam McGee:

".... Sam McGee was from Tennessee, where the cotton blooms and blows.
Why he left his home in the South to roam 'round the Pole, God only knows.
    He was always cold, but the land of gold seemed to hold him like a spell;
Though he'd often say in his homely way that "he'd sooner live in hell."

Damn! I hate the cold, that's why I live in the south. Was looking forward to being toasty in my damnation. Oh well, Que Sera Sera.

What the hell? ;)  Great story Patricia!  Should've gotten an A+.  It reminds me of my a story my Mom heard/read that a teacher gave his students a test asking the question "Why are we here?" Like, maybe it was a philosophy teacher.  One student wrote "Because", and got up, handed-in his test, and left.  He got an A also! :)
