Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Sk8eycat, one of former cats was named Timon. My son, who was in Grade 4 at the time, and my daugther, in Grade 3, found this very small kitten at the playground. They checked with people in the neighbourhood and no one claimed ownership, so he came to live with us.

He was so tiny that I just had to name him Timon because he was a mere-cat! Disney fans should get that and be groaning in unison!

I meant Derek not Tony.  Lost my mind already today!

Oh Tony!  lol  ;)  I am always singing silly stuff which I think is hysterical and my 18-yr. old son does not. ha ha ha

Derek, many years ago when I still worked part time at the Cat Hotel, we had a repeat "guest" whose name was URL.  That was long before I had a computer with a modem, if you can imagine that.  I had to ask her human what the name meant...the first thing he said was that he was a computer geek (HE said "geek") at Disney.  THEN he explained what URL meant, and that his particular URL was always dragging strange stuff home when she could sneak outside.

Good morning everyone!

I just drank my coffee and came here first thing to read all the wonderful posts and look at the great pictures.

Hope all of you are enjoying your weekend.

I once drove all the way over to a ghod-awful mega-mall in Beverly Hills to a book signing. The crowd was incredible, but I got 2 copies of I forget which cookbook, and Craig was there too!  Yayyy!  They both signed the books.  Charming guys, both of them.  (Then I got lost trying to find my car afterwards.)

I don't remember the details of the scandalette; everybody I knew always knew he was bi.  BFD.  I'm just sorry that in those days he (and so many of the guys I knew from my ice show days) had to stay closeted.

I'll post the recipe (it's very simple, IF you have a Donvier, or something similar) when I get myself a little more focused; the cats woke me up at 5:30, and I wasn't able to go back to sleep.  I didn't even go to sleep till around 2 AM, so I'm more than a little foggy.

Oh, I know it was Lola! But I just had to play off the Lula name. That's what makes it so bad! :)
