Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.
Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.
Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.
This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.
A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.
Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Comment by sk8eycat on July 16, 2012 at 5:17pm @Pat: Oh, my nerves! I never thought of THAT! (I wonder if that sign pic is a PhotoShop creation. I can't tell anymore.)
@Patricia: Yuck. I signed up to be notified when a friend posted anything new to her web site, and it turned out that the "sevice" went through Google. Now I'm getting Google pop-ups whenever I try to log onto my e-mail, too. I think I need to get a tech over here to delete all the Google Gunk. Whoopie. Another $100 down the drain.
(And the friend who had the web site decided to "leave the building" a couple of weeks ago. Grrrrrr.)
Comment by booklover on July 16, 2012 at 5:03pm sk8eycat, the Walmart sign, LOL! I hope they were teaching young children??? I think I'm giving too much credit.
@ El Solo Lobo, ha ha ha!!!
Comment by Patricia on July 16, 2012 at 3:47pm sk8eycat....I was having that same problem with going through the AN emails. I found it had something to do with google/chrome. I had uninstalled it as I'm getting annoyed with google dictating to me about where I can go or what I can do, but had to put it back in as firefox & IE9 64 bit won't work. Now AN email links work fine again.....damn them!!!!
Comment by El Solo Lobo on July 16, 2012 at 3:26pm I love Walmart. I just wish there were more of them and they were bigger.
Comment by Pat on July 16, 2012 at 3:18pm @sk8eycat. While the sign is funny, there will no doubt be some dumb ass who thinks 15 is the number of hands.
Comment by Joan Denoo on July 16, 2012 at 3:16pm Ruth, you make good sense. Thanks.
Comment by Idaho Spud on July 16, 2012 at 2:48pm I don't shop at Wal-Mart either sk8eycat, but the new sign made me laugh. :)
Comment by Idaho Spud on July 16, 2012 at 2:45pm I agree Ruth.
