Come on in, pull up a chair!

Picture yourself spending some time with congenial friends, sharing your lives and pictures from your cell phones." They're curious about that cool game, song, movie, camping trip, art show, or other event that fascinated you. You talk about all kinds of stuff, poetry, styles, personal achievements, relationships, and bad days. You can share your inner child, and laugh together. They sympathetically listen to your feelings about serious topics like politics or climate change, even when they don't agree.

Personal validation comes from paying attention to one another, giving more than you get. Everyone respects you and themselves, despite our amazing range of personal tastes and interests. They'll tell you they don't agree with an idea or behavior without implying you're a bad person or somehow deficient. It's an "I'm OK, You're OK" kind of fellowship, where nobody tries to make himself look better by picking on somebody else.

Nobody here is into mind games. A discussion started with a loaded guilt-throwing question will be deleted.

This group is not intended to compete with other groups on topics they cover but to "fill in the cracks." Whenever a discussion dwells at length on a topic for which there's an existing group, we urge you to provide members a link to that group to continue along their tangent.

A comment is a shout-out, which will get lost in a few days, because the comment wall is just a random stack.

Please start a discussion to share stories, photos, and videos. Replies will pop up in your "latest activity" and a conversation can develop from the feelings and thoughts you contributed. Groups are built on discussions.

Good for you Destiny!  You won't be judged here.  My daughter is Bi, and Atheist, VERY Liberal, jewish heritage... As a cute,little 20-year old blue-eyed blond, she could walk into a KKK meeting and be totally safe as long as she didn't open her mouth!  She and I both have that we are Atheists on our FB pages.  So far no one has cared.  If they do, buh-bye!!!  Stay strong!!!~ Melinda

I posted a video on facebook this morning about tolerance. I also made this my coming out video. I have been an atheist for 13 years and the only people who knew before this video were my immediate family. Even though I talked about atheism, I discussed other groups like lgbt, and muslims. My main message was that no one should feel like they need to be kept in the closet, no matter what minority they find themselves in. I talked about all the misconceptions people had about atheists and provided legitimate evidenc against them. I asked people to share my message. I recieved only two responses and they were amazing, but I am disappointed that everyone else ignored to even acknowledge my pos, except by then posting images on their walls about why they beleive. I posted images as well that made statements like "not all muslims are terrorists", "coexist", marriage is a basic civil right." The only respose or "like" I got was one on how portraying man's mind as some sort of sexual deviant IS it DOES hurt men, and does NOT help a cause. my video in no way " evangitical" it was based on tolerance and my need to speak up as an atheist simply because of this and a beliefe for a secular government that we supposedly already have.i only stated this as a reason for me to "come out". I was still avoided like a plague. I feel that ot was entirely appropriate that the videos title was "my social suicide video; let's take adversity away from diversity! I am glad to still have two real friends on fb. They mean more to me than the other 200 or so! And no, they are not atheists, but they at least dont follow organized religion. I feel better knowing who is really a true friend! Sorry to share so much, but coming out today felt great. Im happy no one has harassed me, yet!

Or how about a Devon cream tea?

A religion of cake would be the perfect companion to the Great Teapot.

Patricia: I have TWO cats...too much power in this house.  Hairy-Jerry has decided that I am not supposed to sleep past 5:30AM, no matter what time I get to bed.

And I think I'd like to worship cheesecake...any flavor, but Pumpkin-Pecan is a "revelation."  (I make it with Sucralose/Splenda....can't tell the difference.)

@Ian: LOL  Good one!

 I've always thought Mick Jagger looked like a largemouth bass. But he's still alive, so I guess that disqualifies him.
