Oh! my goodness! here is a tantalizing thinking in the future tense game. What will New York, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney have in common? Here is a futuristic idea of a way to replace coastal cities.

It sounds optimistic, but what about storms? How would these floating cities fare in acidic seas which are turning more anoxic? To me this is idealistic because to appears to assume the oceans are healthy. They almost sound like gated communities for the 1%. What about pirate attacks?

The imagined future floating city looks attractive, until the reality of the vulnerabilities surface!
