Gung Hay Fat Choy! Happy 4707, the year of the Tiger. The celebrations starts today and ends on the 14 Feb Chinese New Year. Can’t wait to eat some Gao.

Oh man... I will be so close to where you guys are meeting up, and yet so far. I have a matinee performance that day, so can't attend. Booooo

Hey Richard, how are you? I’m not too worried about Buffy; I become a day walker in February so I think I’m safe. Although I just got off work a few hours ago and the sun will be coming up soon, maybe I should worry?

Watch out, Vampire Calvin. Our newest member is named Buffy, who may or may not take after her vampire-slayer namesake (welcome, Buffy). I'd love to join your gathering but Honolulu is too long a walk from Hilo.

Howzit Gang, sorry I’ve been away for a while, but I’ve been working nights these past few months. The life of a vampire really sucks. Oahu people, one of the guys in our “Hawaii Atheists, Agnostic, Freethinkers and Humanist” meet up group wants to meet at Starbucks on Ward Ave. this Sunday, 31 Jan at 1:00pm for some after lunch conversation and coffee. If any of you all are interested in joining us, please sign up at our meet up group. www.meetup.com/Hawaii-Atheist/ A Hui Hou, Calvin

Just thought I would drop in and say hello: am in Honolulu for the next 6 weeks working and am interested in what is going on here on the island in terms of atheist/skeptic meetings.

Thanks for volunteering to hold on to them. Should you do, I don't want you to feel an obligatory urge to get a book back if it's been borrowed by someone for a long time. As long as someone has a need for it, I don't mind. In other words, I don't expect you to be a library enforcer. If someone's really interested in a particular book, they can go ahead and keep it. My main purpose is to have some interesting literature that's not a pain to obtain. It may help some who are just dealing with atheism, or who may need a more expansive science background.

I'd be happy to store them as part of a group "library" if you like. It might be better for someone more centrally located, but I can definitely watch over them if needed.

I've been accepted to medical school abroad, and unfortunately, I'll be off the Islands for the near future. I have numerous science books, as well as rationalist ones (mainly by Richard Dawkins, and Daniel Dennet), so if anybody would like a long-term loan, as long as they're willing to keep the books circulating to those interested, I'd be happy to pass them out. They range from subjects like biology, physics, cosmology, atheist philosophy, etc. Please let me know if any of you are interested.

The Oahu group just had another Atheists, Agnostics, Freethinkers, and Humanist meeting tonight; it was at the Side Street Inn.

Wow gang! It was so cool… only two no shows, and fifteen people showed up, including Armen, Randy, and Sladjan.

We had some really great conversations going, everyone was really nice and open minded. It gave people a chance to talk about all the conmen stuff we go through as non-believers. People were already talking about our next meetings before this meeting ended.

15 Nov 09, tomorrow BBQ at Randy’s place.

22 Nov 09, Potluck luncheon at Alondra’s place.

If you haven’t yet, check out our meet up group page:
