Joan, thanks for discussing Garden's Alive.  I haven't used their products and will look into them.

Barbara, thanks for posting on ways to frustrate cutworms.  They haven't plagued me but they to affect others here, as noted in their posts.

Patricia, your greenhouse is inspiring and empowering!

Joan, I haven't ordered anything from Gardens Alive for awhile. I'm using my local greenhouse. But their Bt stuff used to work. Neem, too (I think).

Daniel, good "Indian" story! And great bee photo.

Patricia, remember that old song, "It's nice to have a man around the house"? I'm going to look up the lyrics right now.

Barbara, excellent piece on cutworms, and an interesting story as well.

That's great! Such a pretty picture.

Patricia, the flowers are Chinese chives. Bees love them. Fortunately, with modern cameras having erasable memories, I can take 20 pics hoping one will come out OK. I just wait for them to land on a flower I already focused on then snap the pic.

Thanks k.h. lots of good ideas to try without spending a fortune.

Beautiful white flowers Daniel. How didjuh get the bees to pose for their closeup?

Patricia, I've used the cut tin cans before with good results. Make sure you get them into the ground deep enough.
