Thank you all.  Sincerely.

After I got back from the surgeon today I did some work-from-home work, then pulled some weeds in the bearded iris beds.  Gives peace of mind.  They are looking very sturdy now.  Promising for great flowers in May.

Sentient- I will be thinking of you Tuesday and hope that all goes well.  May your doctors be brilliant and your body recover quickly!

Even though I don't post as often as I'd like, this group is so valuable to me- both for the information and the sense of community.  Thank you for all you do to keep it so successful.

Sentient, I am so very sorry! I will not pray for you; however, my  thoughts are with you. You are precious to me, kind of like a brother, and I can say with full honesty that I love you as a brother.

Amer, I just looked back on your cactus photos and again am amazed at the order of rows and columns: perfect symmetry! Excellent example of fractals.

No prayer, just good thoughts about welcoming you back from a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the group Sentient.  I'm betting you'll be here after I'm fertilizer.

For what it's worth to all active here -

This is the main group that I participate in online.  It was the first group I set up, when I joined Nexus in 2008.  So you all matter to me

Next tuesday I will be having surgery for stomach cancer.   Overall prognosis is reasonable, although there is uncertainty about the type and some vagueness about the anatomy.  The surgeon will have to figure that out once he's opened my belly.

I treasure the discussions here.  After tues, I may be offline for a while.  Hard to say.  I hope you will continue discussing your plants and flowers, vegetables and trees and gardens and yards.

Unfortunately, they wont give me the tumor to compost and feed the trees.  I didn't ask but this is 2013.

A week to go before surgery.  Meanwhile will be nursing along my little fig trees.

At least here no one will pray for me.  Glad for that!

Dallas can you show me their condition by photographs. May be we can save some of them. Cactus can be restored from conditions which are sure death for other plants.

Thanks for the beautiful picture, Sentient! My surroundings will look like that in 3 or 4 weeks, I think. Do you spray fruit trees that are threatened by night frost? They say it's a good method to save the harvest.

Sentient, your garden is so pretty. Far more color than I yet have.
