New Babies Arrive

So, I didn't have enough birds. LOL Some of my hens are a few years old and some are ten yrs old. The old ones were a good excuse to order and replace breeds I had in the past, as well as obtaining breeds I never had before. So I ordered 30 chicks and they send one bonus.

So sweet, and they look very healthy. How old when you got them? Please keep us posted on their development.

They arrived at the post office loading facility Saturday evening. I'm assuming that they had to have hatched on Friday. Unless they hatched Sat and they got them on a truck, and then a plane, from the mid west right away.

Years ago they were sent, surviving on their yolk sacks. There was very little mortality. Now, they are sent with a jell, which provides nutrients and moisture.

I had them picked up Sunday morning. They look so delicate and they do need to be babied, but yet they all are doing well. I can't wait to see how they develop.

They look beautiful. Please post their pictures again when they get a little older. I will love to see what kind of bird the chicks with strip from beak to neck make. I am also curious about one having strip arround the eye.
