SB, I read the names of 12 here last night. Very grim situation indeed, and, yes trans women of color tend to be hit harder, mostly due to poverty, etc driving them towards things like prostitution.

Looney Toons.

LGBT can't marry because extension cords.  And the Bible predicts Obama will lose to the Antichrist.  (I thought they were saying Obama IS the Antichrist.  I'm confused!)

13 transgender women killed in US this year.  advocate.com

I don't know the significance that all but a couple are black, and those are hispanic.

This year transgender day of remembrance honors 265 trans people murdered worldwide.

Two steps forward, one step .... well, we know how life works. This is a powerful victory, kind of like a sound horn in fog, leading one to home port. I celebrate with you.
Sentient, you have a powerful voice with well chosen words to be our inspiration and guide.

Catholics direct $2 million to oppose equality.  Also advocate.com  I guess they're afraid orphans and miscellaneous poor people would misuse the money on stuff like food and shelter.  And maybe condoms and recreational abortions.

Did LGBT vote decide the recent presidential election?  Depends on how you calculate it. Advocate.com

I wonder if the same type of calculation could be done with the atheist vote, and how it would come out?

wow.  washington post editorial - "voters got it right even if the church gets it wrong"  The argument is in the context of christianity, but even so, it's a strongly supportive editorial.

Same-sex marriage is creating a new divide in the U.S.:

Yeah, it was great. Just got home and my friend Kari had sent it to me. I laughed out loud. Good one, SB.

Now that the election is over, time to take a little break from US political topics..   this is what I'm telling myself.  There's a lot more to the world.

Meanwhile, this video was fun.
