Glad that it was useful.  I mainly posted it because some of those arguments are similar to what gays have to deal with.

from the website 76crimes.com statement from US department of state deploring the murder of Camaroonian LGBT activist Eric Ohena Lembembe.

Per HuffPost he was tortured and murdered.

from thie HuffPost article, "...the most high-profile African gay rights activist to be killed since 2011, a year that saw the deaths of Uganda's David Kato and South African lesbian activist Noxolo Nogwaza."

I could not locate a public domain pic, so here is google image album of Lembembe.

From what I can see, he was courageous and passionate.  The world is better for his having been here, and less for his having been murdered.

Susan, thank you for posting the link.  It prompted me to explore web topics and videos regarding interpersonal challenges that are faced by people who happen to be asexual.

Gay activist beaten to death in Camaroon.

Much of Africa is a hellhole for LGBT people.  Makes me feel so bad.

UK headed down the path to marriage equality.  It's going to be a long slog, possibly a year while they work some issues, like will humanists be allowed to perform marriages.  Church of England, which was started by the promiscuous and serial polygamist Henry VIII, is against marriage equality.  The queen will have to sign the bill.

Both couples who were plaintiffs in the Prop. 8 case, Kris Perry and Sandy Stier, and Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo, got married last night!

So did other couples.

That HuffPost/AP article quotes a constitutional law professor, who said that

... the Supreme Court's 25-day waiting period to make its decisions final isn't binding on lower courts.

"Some people may think it was in poor form, But it's not illegal," Amar said. "The appeals court may have felt that this case has dragged on long enough."

Also:

Given that word did not come down from the appeals court until mid-afternoon, most counties were not prepared to stay open late to accommodate potential crowds. The clerks in a few counties announced that they would stay open a few hours late Friday before reopening Monday.

A jubilant San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee announced that same-sex couples would be able to marry all weekend in his city, which is hosting its annual gay pride celebration.
