I have a Target store only about 3 blocks from home. But i went to a Sears/KMart and found shirts on sale for $14.00 . But I don't think I like the politics of KMart either. And Wallmart is the worst of the big box stores. -- Gary

Geraldo, Im sure you are right about the minimum wage issue. Actually, that should broaden any issues regarding boycott, why would anyone who beleives in a living wage want to buy at Target now? I disagree with you about the importance issue but that is just quibbling. My biggest problem is corportions now able to buy politicians even more easily than before - and it was never that difficult anyway. Frankly, my image of Target is down the toilet now, but for hundreds of millions of americans, Target is still the place to go for mid-level prices, and they just don't care about either issue. Boycott probably wont affect them (or Best Buy) but I am still staying away from both places now.

My comment about Target contributing to a candidate who advocates doing away with the minimum wage. I heard about it at a Green Party meeting from a community activist. So I don't know how true it is. Someone should check it out. Frankly, I think the labor issue is more important than "gay marriage" and Lt. Dan Choi's emotional attachment to militarism. -- Gary

"Chief Executive Officer Gregg Steinhafel said the contribution was based solely on MN Forward's advocacy for jobs and economic growth."

Geez, greedy bastards!

I think this hasn't been mentioned. For all the focus on Target's gift to a homophobe, what hasn't been much discussed is that the recipient was advocating for the elimination of the minimum wage. That is probably the motivation of Target's "pro business" campaign contribution.

Annne Coulter dumped by conservative group due to involvement in homocon. Is the conservative about to become the LGBTQ's BFF?

Good idea. It would be deemed too obscene for community standards.

I would love to see the same thing happen at other target stores. And Best Buy - they did the same thing, giving a shitload of $$$ to an antigay political candidate.

These companies need to know that if they get political and screw their customers, then those customers have the self esteem not to buy their products and the cahones to express themselves. There are lots of other merchandisers around. If they don't want political fallout from their political actions, then they need to get their asses out of politics.
