I am 100% gay so I don't know where to draw the line.

Here's a great TED talk that was just released:

iO Tillett Wright: Fifty shades of gay

Artist iO Tillett Wright has photographed 2,000 people who consider themselves somewhere on the LBGTQ spectrum and asked many of them: Can you assign a percentage to how gay or straight you are? Most people, it turns out, consider themselves to exist in the gray areas of sexuality, not 100% gay or straight. Which presents a real problem when it comes to discrimination: Where do you draw the line?

Gandhi's supposed gay love letters on display.  Queerty.

Of course, that thought upsets a lot of people.

An older discussion.....

Who knows? Interesting. "Taking control of my body, with a vengience"

India gov't not too crazy about this.

India's a rather homophobic place, although not as virulent as much of Africa and the Muslim world.  That their great liberator might be....  suggested.... to be gay, isn't an easy argument to make.

This young woman found the tastiest (and punniest) possible way to come out to her parents -- it really takes the cake!

In an early casualty of marriage equality - also known to some as gay marriage - also known to some as same sex marriage - etc...

Antigay Maryand state representative Don Dwyer was so despondent over marriage equality, he got drunk, crashed his boat, and injured 4 children.  And is now separated from his wife.  Which proves, gay marriage harms mixed-sex marriages.

Then there's former-episcopal-and-now-catholic priest John Cornelius, who was so upset about his denomination being open to gay clergy and then, even, women clergy (gasp), he's sworn off sex with his wife to become a Catholic priest.  Which proves that equal rights for LGBT people damages marriage and religion.  Although not religious freedom, since he's went from Baptist to Methodist during the "wild 60s," and dappled in Hare Krishna and Baha'i, ultimately winding up Episcopalian and now Catholic.  All that, and he can't stomach there being a gay, or female, priest.  Good luck in the Catholic church!

Carl,

Now i need to watch whole thing!  Time to check Netflix!

Admit it - Take of the glasses and put him into cowboy gear, and the young Mr Baume would fit into High Noon perfectly!

High Noon is an AWESOME film.....and I don't like westerns.  It's a great drama.

Also, Daniel, do I detect a slight, miniscule and subtle total infatuation with the young Mr. Baume?  :))

I'm probably the only one in the universe who thinks this, but this movie intro looks romantic to me.  Until a about the last minute - that 3rd guy should stay away and mind his own business.

And I don't even smoke.

Latest American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) video.

Noticing Matt Baume is putting a little "fur" into "AFER" with a 5:00 shadow. Is this going to be a trend?

Looks likeRhode Island is voting today on marraige equality.  I hope it passes.  Not a big state in population or geographic size, but every state counts.

Illinois is another state on the radar screen.  With both liberal  Chicago and a large conservative rural population, that one would mean a lot.

Also movement in Colorado on civil unions.

And in UK, the discussion is joined by The UK on version of the horrid Kalley Yanta.   With bigotry and partial truths and lies masquerading as information.

But we have Matt Baume on our side - so much more appealing!
