Comment by Sentient Biped on September 2, 2012 at 12:42pm Damn damn damn. I hate the fakery. I really do.
Comment by The Flying Atheist on September 2, 2012 at 11:39am Sentient, that Boy Scout poster is a modern mock-up of a War Bonds drive poster from 1917. Believe me, "Hitchens Watch" is not a reputable source!
Here's the original poster: Third Liberty Loan Campaign

Comment by Sentient Biped on September 2, 2012 at 8:28am source "Created in 1917 for the Third Liberty Loan Campaign"
Strangely enough, the source site, "Hitchens Watch", is still active. They are watching a dead person. Kind of like watching Jesus, maybe? Except there really was a brilliant man named Christopher Hitchens.
A quote that should be spread far and wide:
"Because you believe something is wrong doesn't mean you make it illegal."
--Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage, at 0:47:52 during his dinner-table debate at Dan Savage's home last week.
(Brown was talking about civil divorce, though, and immediately refused to apply the same principle to equal marriage:
Savage: "Then why not the same policy towards civil gay marriage?"
Brown: "Again, there's a misunderstanding here. That gay marriage can not exist....")

Nate Phelps is the son of Fred Phelps, infamous pastor of Kansas' Westboro Baptist Church, an entity which asserts that "God Hates Fags," that President Obama is the AntiChrist, and that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 were God's punishment upon the United States.

I'm having "politics fatigue" after the stupid chicken sandwich chain events. Too bad, given we are headed into the political season of lies, fake drama, posturing, and general stupidity.
