Your link isn't working. Yes, I'd love to see that full vid if you find it.
That's interesting SB, and corroborates what I've said before about transsexualism. People want and need to identify with a gender, also clearly demonstrated by the need of intersexed people who feel like neither (to their dismay?) or more like one or the other.
Where's The Nerd? She'd have opinions on this.
Comment by Sentient Biped on May 12, 2012 at 12:36pm Intersex life. Not gay, not straight, not transgender - but absolutely born intersex. If 1 of 2,000 births are intersex, it doesn't sound like a lot, but that's millions of people. If I can find a link to the film I'll post it. This is an older video, but still relevant.
Heh, I will not censor myself. I only mean to say that sometimes I like being irreverent, silly, explicit, or whatever. There are so many sides to an individual, and I like tapping into all of them.
And I don't mind prissy, little old ladies at all. : )
Comment by Joan Denoo on May 12, 2012 at 12:08pm Dallas, Please, please do not stop writing what you want to write. I have no quarrel with what you express, I just don't like to read sex-task. Call me "Victorian" or "Prissy" or whatever the current words are for sexless little old ladies; I make no apologies for my tastes and need none. I just adore you and will read you on other sites and I will leave you to your pleasures. I do NOT want you censored.
Meh, I'm just being silly, Joan. I'm in a silly mood lately.
Wouldn't necessarily say that any of that is "homosexual chatter." Certainly, gays have their own argot, but it's not something I use a lot.
Comment by Joan Denoo on May 12, 2012 at 11:07am Dallas, you certainly have broadened my vocabulary and exposure to homosexual chatter. This little old white haired, oxford wearing shoes lady who putters in the garden will skip such chatter and enjoy your wise and friendly conversations on other sites. I like you and have no intention of losing you, you're a dear man.
Comment by Joan Denoo on May 12, 2012 at 11:00am Sentient, I can always count on you to bring me back to rational thinking. Your kind words felt compassionate for me and for the poor demented woman.
If the woman did speak from dementia, or malice, and especially if there were those who agreed with her, there should be time for a thoughtful, reasonable homosexual to offer a counterpoint. Probably the young man behind her would not be the one; a mature, perhaps a kind, thoughtful lesbian could respond effectively in that chamber.
Confrontation by the young and/or angry homosexual on the street, using non-violent means but firm statements, would probably be ugly, but more effective in quieting her outrageous behaviors. She has the right to think and say what she will, but does not have the right to insult and call names. Isn't there a law against such speech?
"There are laws against verbal assault in every jurisdiction. It is rarely invoked, unless violence is also present. It is the old Assault and Battery charge.
Hate Crime laws also protect minorities from being threatened with slurs."
Joan is ruight about having to walk away.
And yeah, the crazy woman in the video probably does have something wrong with her--which makes her doubly susceptible to religious nonsense.
That video is funny. But I've actually seen the baseball bat thing. Oh well, to each his own.
