Something uplifting on a Sunday morning....

I have mixed feelings about "What would you do", which is kind of an ethical Candid Camera - is it ethical to "set people up" with situations that are fraught with emotion, in public settings, on film? In this case, it really was rewarding to see the overwhelming support among so many bystanders.  I don't know what I would do - although I like to think I would have stood up to the "jerk" (actor) for trying to ruin a special moment.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for a wedding, too. Here's wishing all my best for these two beautiful people and their future together. Mazel tov.

A nice wedding video.

Makes me a bit wistful.... glad they had this moment. Wonderful for families to celebrate that their loved ones, are in love.

Tony, yes on th arrested cruise guys, I do believe that we always need to see the truth, warts and all.  For those guys to be crying "victim" when they would have been arrested anywhere, straight or gay, damages credibility.

That huffpo article was very touching.

AnneT, the Obama's nanny story made me sad.  Rough life.

SB, went to Queerty, found subject. Well, enough said about that. But did you see the link to huff-po by the father whose 7 y.o. son told him he was gay? What unconditional love this man has for his son. I was moved by the love he has for him. Amazing.

Interesting:

Meet the Transgender Indonesian Nanny Who Took Care of Young Barack Obama
Meet Evie, Obama's former nanny, who was born a man but identifies as a woman. She has had a difficult time because life in Indonesia for trangender people can be very complicated.............

Turns out those cruise guys who were arrested in Dominica werent's just holding hands and singing tunes from "The Sound of Music"..... Not safe for work but would require a magnifier to cause real problems.  Queerty.com

Evil NOM Vogon spokes-troll spewing mendacity to pollute the airwaves:

Oh the horror, the horror, the horror.

The Onion on NOM's dastardly plan to turn Black and Hispanic people against gays, and vice versa.  My favorite comment:  "This is only going to send the gays into the arms of the Puerto Ricans".  Bonus point:  NOM is identified as "bigot group"

Thanks Dominic.  I no longer have faith in our youth and the future of equality.  Well if that's the next generation, I won't feel so bad about leaving them a screwed up world with massive floods, tornadoes, famine, and displacement of whole populations. Screw 'em  (kidding, I will still keep the lights dim and the heat low so the thankless little brats can have a better world tomorrow).
