Since Governor Gregoire was forceful in promoting the bill. she is expected to sigh. Unless an Invasion of the Republican Body Snatchers occurs. For those of us in registered Domestic Partnerships, those relationships will transition into marriage unless the partners opt out formally. Reuters.com There is no question that Antimarriage groups will mount a repeal effort, resulting in foot-dragging. The majority of state residents actually support keeping equality in place, as of the last poll that I saw. But if such a measure did pass, then the California Measure 8 Repeal could have relevance, even though taylored to apply solely to the California situation.
