Comment by George on October 2, 2011 at 7:00am @ Sentient Biped: Clever isn' the? His phone "accidentally" rings with the ringtone "Kill That Faggot". It's a song by the rapper Styles P on an album called Ghost in the Shell.
His wikipedia page makes no mention of the song - perhaps it's just as well he doesn't have publicity.
Comment by Dominic Florio on October 1, 2011 at 9:48pm I taught at a school where this black ghetto trash/white trailer trash mentality was the norm. You fought for everything and if someone looked at you in what you considered the wrong way, it was grounds for fighting. Many of the kids were from a low socio-economic background, and some were middle class, but adopted the attitude. Maybe it was to survive in a school with a violent population.
We had parents who would sneak into the school, to continue a fight between their child and another, which started in the hood.
We would have students who admitted to inappropriate or even criminal behavior, and the parent would be angry that we were picking on their child.
If you had two students and one got hurt while your back was turned, the defense of the other was that you didn't see me hit him or her.
Schools tolerate the term "that's gay" meaning lame or not cool, and some adults buy into it, so that they appear cool to the kids. Some teachers do not want to defend gay kids or reprimand those who make anti-gay comments, afraid that they will be labeled as gay.
But the biggest crime is to excuse this young man and others like him, in the name of culture. Culture doesn't feel pain, suffering, or experience death. Culture should never justify bad behavior.
Comment by Sentient Biped on October 1, 2011 at 12:01pm "Bullying is needed"?

Comment by Darren Taggart on September 30, 2011 at 11:52am Cheers guys! The original one was too horrid to ignore; dripping with unspoken assumptions about the threat to normalcy!
