Sally Ride, First U.S. Woman In Space, A Lesbian, Dies Of Cancer At 61
I look forward to the time when women have participated in the many activities that humans enjoy and we don't see "First U.S. Woman in Space;" and we don't see reference to sexual orientation. She broke difficult ground, "First U.S. Woman in Space, A Lesbian." Doors open, ceilings give way. Human beings flourish when all have opportunity to develop their full capacities and our nation is made stronger.
